    gscalifornia Small blocks rule!!

The way they're describing that short block it reminds me of the one that was for sale on this board a year or two ago. Cool stuff for sure, thanks for sharing!

Yes that was the engine Gary had for sale for a year or so. Lots more $ and time invested into it that they didn’t have time to talk about. It’s been stroked, nice rods, valve reliefs, lots of good stuff.

Yes He is a board member I can’t remember his name on here but he’s around. It’s going into a 61 or 62 race car, very light and should be cool!

Is he going to run that same big solid cam that was in it?

I’m not sure, I was following his build on Facebook but I quit Facebook so I haven’t seen updates.

not sure if it will ever go into a car but it’s a way to at least test the alum heads and the iron ones with high compression instead of low comp like my turbo engines.

Your not going to run one of your builds with the aluminum heads in a car?

the alum heads will end up on my 9.5:1 comp girdled engine with the turbos. It’s the 12:1 engine that I’m not sure when or if I will use. But I want to dyno test both the alum heads and the custom iron ones on the high compression engine with a big cam. It’s also got Herche rods and diamond pistons like the good engine, but stock crank and less fancy stuff. My turbo engine won’t really showcase the head potential NA because of the low compression and mild turbo cam.

I will keep the high compression engine around, who knows I may find something light to put it in.
