I am very curious about the correct, safest, coolest way a Buick 455 Regal (Buick 455 anything:TU:) can have the fuel lines plumbed.

I bought Summit's 25-ft roll (x2) of aluminum 3/8" fuel line (with correct fittings ... Russel & Spectre brands). I want this 455Regal DONE RIGHT.:TU:

Any photos regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks much.

You don't want my comments about using aluminum line in a Regal or any other car for that matter. I used the braded line (-8) when I put my Regal together and it was a snap. I got so frustrated with the aluminum line I wadded it up into a ball and threw it out in the street but the last time this same question was asked on this site some people say they used it without problem so good luck.

Yes Sir! How are you? It's been a while. You CRACKED-ME-UP as soon as I read your 1st sentence (lolll)!

Please tell me why you are against aluminum fuel lines in an automobile ... PLEASE; I had a 455 Regal burn-to-the-ground in the past (stock 1987 tranny line ruptured near the firewall ... HOLY-CRAP!!!!!!!!!!):af: ... I was about to REPEAT HISTORY!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH AGAIN ... THIS TIME FOR POSSIBLY SAVING ME ANOTHER REGAL ... or God Forbid ... MY LIFE. :Dou:

I already have the stainless steel brained hoses from fuel-pump-to-carb/Spectre inline fuel filter ... @ how many feet will I need to buy from Summit tomorrow ... STAINLESS STEEL -8? :beer

The aluminium is easier to work with but Ive been told it can and will crack from vibration if not correctly mounted. I have a few friends that had this issue. I prefer steel because of this.
When we run stainless under the hood we buff it up with a scotch brite pad after shaping and before installing to give it a nice look. Then a real light coating of clear. This is done instead of using chrome line that almost always ends up peeling for me.

I plan on doing steel on the main line and aluminum on the return - all mine will be ran inside the frame if possible with a coupling at the center sections in case I ever to need to split or replace a section of the line for some reason. You can go to Lowe's / Menards / Home Depot and buy the rubber line clips to help isolate any vibrations plus they are a snap to install.

Braided line #10 from front to back with fuel block to # 8 lines nice safer than than aluminum and i believe it easier to route around problems and it will still clear the heater box
