They had some famous people with that studio group in L A. The Motown equivalent were the Funk Brothers.
One of my favs that was recorded by Dean Martin and many others, but I like this one best. Reminds me of, uh, the submarine races we "watched" on summer nights parked at Old Point Comfort or a the end of Hiden Blvd/Blount Pt. Rd....as well as other places I may have forgotten. Seems they raced those things all over the Peninsula in those days...
I forgot about this one...it was more of a deb thing than a fashion thing, as I remember. Anyway, can't ever replicate that Farfisa! Cheers!
Great song...the Eagles version is tops for me, but a GREAT song, nonetheless. (This remaster isn't quite as raw as the original they did, but I guess revisionist history is the way to go these days. As Jack said in the film, "You can't handle the truth." (An ad lib line, by the way!) Cheers!

...and Piaf's signature song, written by her in '45 (apologies, a bit early for this thread). Factoid; she is singer on record being played in "Saving Private Ryan"...
...I also have a correct time period Louis Armstrong English version ('50) of La Vie on my Bubbler...
