I’m tearing down this old tilt from a 1970 GS…
    This is where I am.
How do I remove the inner black structure? Then the steering shafts???

The bowl is pressed on to the shift tube. The shift tube is what the gear selector arm (which is bent) is attached to. You'll need a press.

There are two pins on each side that require a tiny puller to remove them. Then you pull the tilt lever and o pop ull the whole piece up and off the column.

Thanks Brian- Jason walked me through it last night. I’m getting a pivot pin puller today…

Pulled the pins... Came right apart!
    1. What grease/ lube for the plastic ball/ pivot joint?
    2. Is there a source for the upper and lower bearing(s)?
