Climate control switch orientation

Is this the correct orientation for the climate control switch? If something doesn’t look right, please let me know.

Is this ACC with air? My Riv is acc with air and has no elec connections on left side, could be why fan on left thumb wheel does nothing?

 

Yeah both sides should have a wire plug. May be disconnected and buried in the dash somewhere.

 

Car was frame off restoration when I bought so I'm trying to dig in and see what was and wasn't done. Pulled ash tray out and trying to get radio out to no avail, can't quite get it back far enough to tip down to bring it out ash tray opening. Then I could maybe see more.

 

This is for the 71 43-44 series, but your control looks identical to the skylark so I assume they are the same. Not messed much with Riveria. Should have a 5 prong on the blower switch and a 2 prong on the compressor control switch.

 

That's what makes me wonder that this was not the one it came with. So if you wanted say heat to the floor you would leave right thumb wheel down, and then turn left wheel to desired speed? Thank you.

 

Looking at your controls a little closer, right switch is different to what I am used to, so I would have to guess on that one, but left switch definitely blower speed.

 

Thank you much. A lot of the ones I have seen here, the right wheel has htr selection on bottom.

 

Q8 GS. How did you take that photo? I can barely get a flex mirror back there with a flashlight. Well done.

 

I was reassembling my dash, just making sure everything is connected as its supposed to. I would try to take a couple of flash pics from underneath the dash opening in your case.
