Did a search, didn't find this. My apologies if I missed it already being covered. Any good methods recommended for cleaning scratches off of a clear plastic speedometer lens?

Or...you can take your lens to a plastic company (if you have one in your area) and they can buff them out and they most of the time look like new!
I have had 9 of them done over the years and was presently pleased!
The cost varies but usually i think about 10 bucks per lens.

I've used Novus lens polish with good luck. I get it at Harley Davidson shops....or any motorcycle dealer. They use it to polish their windshields.

Oddly enough, I use chrome polish on occasion. Works pretty well.

I use Meguiars PlastX. Worked well on overspray on my lens, and does a great job on model car 'glass' too.

X 2 on the Meguiars. I just used it last night to shine up a gas gauge lens on a Wildcat.

X3 on Meguiars, I've used the cleaner wax I already had on the shelf.

Oddly enough I use chrome polish on some headlights and found it works really well for a quick cleaning on them. I figured I was the only one that ever used chrome polish on plastic but Adam proved me wrong. lol

Novus polishes work well I find for that and taillight lenses etc. Basically any fine abrasive will work. For a really deep scratch you can polish it out with some 1200 sandpaper then polish it back to perfection, have to blend carefully or you can get a distortion. . It's a lot of work though at that point probably best to find a better lens. Piles of them around here.
