I've pulled the tomahawk BBB out of the "Bad Buick", making some serious horsepower changes. While tearing down my motor, I noticed the base plates for my T & D pedestal rocker assemblies was loose, took off one plate to access the lower plates countersunk mount bolts, put an allen wrench on them to re tighten them, only to find 3 of the 4 mount bolts were broken off at the head....... They couldn't fall out because there's that other plate on top..... Not sure how long they've been broken didn't notice anything crazy when adjusting the valves...It was the valve train on the ODD side, and my #3 has always been "special" with tuning.....
So, check your hardware, re-torque "stuff" thru the season, hopefully ya catch something before it becomes something major......

    Good advice...
I towed 13 hrs each way to BG one year never got off trailer (rain out) but the vibration of towing loosened my starter connection and it wouldn't start when I got home.
Suspension too I know a guy that had control arm bolt on the way out...nut was gone. Al lot of people leave their stuff in enclosed trailers and never check them out.....

Wow crazy there was enough force in movement to pop the heads of ofvtjose bolts but not continue to eat itself.

Wonder if that has more to do with the head expanding than it does pure forces on the bolts
