I couldn't help sharing pictures of the 180 degree headers that my friend/co-worker is building for his 1970 Challenger. He is a great welder and did these all by eye! They are stainless works of art:

I will try and post a video or sound clip once the car is running! He is going for the straight plane crank sound. He's going to merge it all into a single 3" or 3.5" exhaust.

I'll have to ask him if he plans on adding extra insulation around the oil pan. As far as I know this is just a street car.

First time I have ever heard of, or seen of such a thing.. and I can't take my eyes off it. Cheers to your buddy for a job well done.

The way he welds, I'd have him build you a sleek, stainless custom turbo manifold.:)

I hadn't heard of these before, I'd be curious to see the before and after torque curve compared to "normal" headers.

I can’t imagine all that work and NOT having a turbocharger

He'd better triple check all his torque converter bolts before buttoning that thing up!!!!

That's some impressive workmanship! I look forward to seeing what they sound like. What engine are they bolted to?

This car has a Mopar 340. In my buddy's words a "short stroke small block"!
