Champion 4 core radiator

Thought I’d share my hack

so I’m putting in the 4 core radiator but everything is under tension as I try to put top plate back on.

So after a good amount of frustration I decided to cut out 3/4” out of the top plate both sides so radiator can sit in a natural position.

Simple fix for anyone not looking for originality and wanting things to fit smoothly.

I still have to finish welding grinding and filling in 2 spot on each side, but dam it goes together so easily now.

Quick body work job and some primer then a touch of spot putty then I’m ready to paint and install.

 

I can already see where I can improve upon this, but I’m happy with the results for my first attempt
