Hello everyone, I have a quick question. I have a 65 Lesabre 300/Carter 4 barrel. If I let it sit a day or so I have to crank the engine a long time before she will start. It seems like the fuel is draining out of the carb. And cranking it pumps new fuel into the carb. Has anyone come across this problem ? Am I on the right track ? Thanks Tony
Carburetor Problems Tony, this could be from a lot of things. First do you smell fuel after the car sits for a wile? Second is the choke fully setting when cold? When the car sits is there fuel in the fuel line to the carburetor? Are there any pinholes in the carburetor supply line from the fuel tank? This post may not find the problem but will set you in the direction, AL :beer
