Yes, trans cooler! You will love the new gears - anything 3.36 - 3.73 will change
it up dramatically. You are well on your way to loving how it drives and performs.

I see you have the 350 trans now - 3.23's depending on how much highway driving?

With that convertor and coming off 2.56 gears, 3.08 gears or 3.23 will still be very noticeable .

What kind of trans cooler will do?
I searched around summit, jegs etc and see many coolers of different styles, and prices from $30 to over $150. I dont want to spend a lot for one. If I can get one that does the job for under $60 i would be happy. What about some factory type replacement from a different car? Are they fairly universal?

A regular tube and fin in front of the radiator will do the trick. Keep using the cooler in the radiator and run the outlet(probably the top one) to the aux. cooler and then back to the trans. Whatever you get use these line connectors, they work great. The 5/8" fits 3/8" line and the 1/2" fits 5/16" line.

Search Summit for "Transmission Cooler", then "Fluid Cooler", then view "Price(low-high). Keep going up in price until you find the biggest one you can afford that will fit.

This looks like a good one for the price if it will fit: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g4962a/overview/

Hey looks good and nice price. I can do that for sure. Thanks.

How would i determine which trans line coming from my trans is in or out? Im assuming the coolers are non directional

Yes that cooler is quite large. I thought they listed them by btu but this should work well. Think it's the top line is return. Pull top line out and put a fitting and hose there into a bottle. Disconnect coil and crank engine see if fluid is coming out.

That's good! I would not worry too much about a gauge for trans right now . Go put some miles on the cam. . Trans should be ok for now. Enjoy all the work you put into it.
