I haven't given up tracking my Skylark's history. Mine is a Fremont built '69, and my question is: in what states were Ca built cars usually sold in?

Maybe it spent some time in Ne or Az? Can anyone offer any clues?

    Thanks,

    Chris

Probably all. I drove an SS396 Malibu in 1970 that came from Austin, TX. Crazy, as the dealer I worked for was maybe 15 miles from the Van Nuys assembly plant. We even got X-bodies from the east coast. Again, they were also produced in Van Nuys.

Unless the car came with a rear spoiler or other GSX options, it probably came from the closest assembly plant to the dealer.
