In Maine we use to see double and triple tree length trailer trains coming out of the woods. They would drop their trailers near the highway and hook on to empties and head back in. Crazy to see coming at you on a curve . I miss the old days
I think 28' triples are allowed here in certain states/highways as are 48' & 53' doubles whereas many if not most states limit it to 28' doubles.
Interesting. Seems the yellow should be "doubles less than 100 feet & greater than xx feet" since afaik all States allow doubles to a certain length (2 x 28' pups + tractor).
I remember well the Harley Davidson fleet. I lived right off I-83 so they'd often be coming up/down going to/from the old York, PA assembly plant. Those were some bada** looking rigs with the rounded nose & matching trailers. Harley would haul new bikes to their dealers in them and pick up parts from vendors for the assy plants on the backhauls.
The over-use of the engine brake in the video open was funny. I saw it the other day before the Canadian truck thread was deleted.
Bruce Wilson posted a new video, showing his "new" 1989 White/GMC/Volvo COE day cab: Only 28,000 miles on the odometer, owned by the US Marine Corps. I Bought a MINT Condition DayCab Cabover! SO CLEAN!
The truck in the video above was owned by the US Marine Corps. Bruce also had a 1982 International CO-9670 COE that once belonged to the US Air Force. I Bought a Retired Air Force Cabover Missile Carrier Truck. 1 of 1
