Buyer Beware "The Parts Place"

    I've heard all the horror stories about TPP, but I've ordered a ton from them (pallets full at a time) of various body/interior/drivetrains parts and overall have been pleased. I had a few small parts that werent great fitment wise, but overall it's been good. My only gripe would be you don't really know shipping costs until the orders place which in this day an age is kinda weak, but otherwise I don't have a problem ordering from them. Not saying all the posts here aren't true or 100% justified, just throwing my 2 cents in the pot. I guess it's a "YMMV" type deal...

    I have bought several small items from them. So far, no problems. I do want one of their 68 repro GS grilles but no funds right now...

    Just a quick update......They have completely refunded my money and shipping costs. Like many people I do not like to badmouth fellow business people. If it takes a few people whining to get results,so be it. I wonder if someone got wind of the original post? At any rate......I have no legitimate gripe and thought it should be noted.

    I have ordered over a lot from them over the past 18 months. Everything has come through without damage. Hopefully that trend continues. Customer service guys on the phone in most cases have been helpful.

    I bought a lot of parts from The Parts Place never had a problem. In fact on a Saturday I needed a part and couldn't make it there during the hours they were open. I live about a hour away from the store. They hid the parts under a tree for me. They also included a free t-shirt too. I got nothing bad to say about the service or the parts I purchased. Returned things I didn't need without any hassles as well.

    Great news. Maybe they did read your post and the rest of this thread. I was in business for myself and I would like to know that of my customer's satisfaction, good or bad. It helps you gauge where you are doing things right and where you need to improve.

    They seem to stand by the fact that their Stage 2 pump to carb fuel line is correct. Well . . . It doesn't fit- at all.

    I have ordered numerous items from them and only on one occasion had a very small issue. There was a shortage of a single valve cover label in the package. Called and they sent one right out, no argument, no problems. That's pretty decent customer service in my opinion.

    I will continue to make purchases from them

    I ordered thousand of dollars of parts from them and only had one small issue. I sent the part back and received a full refund within 10 days. I would buy again from them. They make a lot of restoration parts for Buick and the one's I received were excellent especially the New Dash bezel.
