    Where are most of you getting new filler panels for front and rear bumper for your 78 to 87 Regals? Found some at caddy-parts.com. They are $254 for a kit for front and rear. Is this a deal or does someone know of something better?
    Thanks

    Bumper fillers changed when the grill changed in 83... In 83 the bumper fillers had a lip that was part of the frame around the grill... Finding a good set in the j-yard is pointless... they do make figerglass ones... Other than that... look on ebay, the dont go for cheap.

    Thanks for Reply!

    I have a 81 that needs fillers. I had assumed I would not find them in a junk yard. Caddy-parts.com has them for $254. for front and rear. I was just wondering if that was a good price. I had planned to buy new even though this is a race car.
    Thanks again;

    Jim -

    I got mine for my Chevelle at Replica Plastics (mentioned above).

    Three of the four pieces were pretty good; one of their original rubber pieces must have had a "wave" in it which was duplicated in the fiberglass. Still worked out ok; I have the bumpers pulled in close to the body so not much material is showing.

    Take a look the next time we are together; I will probably hit all the NSCA events except Belle Rose and Cecil.

    Thanks for the site!

    Thanks for the site. That's exactly what I wanted. Keith, what are you doing seeking around on this Buick site? Trying to find out the secrets to the FASTEST GM "A" Bodies? Good to hear from you and will see you at the races. I'm not sure how many NSCA races I will get to make. They are all so far away and timed wrong for me. Was looking forward to No Problem as I had a great time there last year, but I have a conflict at school on the date.
    Thanks again;

    Who me? Lurking?

    Roberta set me up over here so I could check on our buddy Bobb's progress; next thing you know I was drawn into a bunch of different conversations.

    Great bunch of guys and gals you got over here (and very prolific! 10 or 12 pages of posts from one day to the next! Hard to keep up...).

    Just ordered a set of fiberglass bumper fillers for my Regal from Dankodirect off ebay. $205.00 shipped for all 4. I'm having them sent direct to the body and paint shop for the paint work but will hang them myself. Lots of guys off Turbo Buick.com recommend these. They aren't drilled from Danko but the pilot holes are there for you to do so. The original GM ones in the urethene will become brittle and fall aprt no matter what care you take. I wouldn't even trouble myself on used orig pieces as I went this route and it only lasted one year. Supposedly the fit and finish on the Danko pieces is really good. I could post pics later on if you want.

    Evans,
    I just got a front set from Kirban's and they turned out to be NOS, I was shocked. The one that I put on the rear was glass and now I'll be putting the urethane ones on the front...my stock ones lasted 20 years though!

    Kurt,

    I couldn't pass up on the full set of the 'glass pieces at the price quoted. I too have a NOS GM urethene fronts that are being painted with the flex agent that will go on the car. Shop is quoting me $150.00 to paint the set of four. Should get them back by weekend. PM me please and tell me what's required in the install/ removal procedure on the fronts. Any tips and tricks you know would be well appreciated!
