RL called me a few days ago and we were talking about the new blocks / heads ect for our higher performance engines. He mentioned the experimental bulldog block and there there was only 5 of these made and he has the last known un built example. This morning we spoke and he asked if I would transport it up to the nationals to do a side by side comparison with the new products. Asked me to get together with Fred Catlin when I get up there to hand it off. Do any of you guys know anything about this block?
Don't know about the block but do remember a problem with people paying upfront and not receiving money back.
I thought bulldog made an aluminum block from the mold designed for iron because of issues with iron and yes he split the aluminum block seen the photos happened during Dyno testing they noticed coolant leak if I remember correctly

Wow! I was stressed...lol! Thank goodness TA came to the rescue with what we needed. I was very "in" early with both deposit, then full payment. After many missed deadlines, I got cold feet. I was lucky and got a refund. Some others did not... Jeff Strube, along with Bobb had the two I remember running.
No problem. This morning all this went to crap. I was at RL's place at 7am to pick up the block and plate frames. He didnt have it at his house so I didnt get it loaded. So for all practical purposes this is a bust. Like Jim said. next year will be better. Im in BG now at the quality inn.
??? Thought it was today! LOL, not. Not going over to the track. Getting ready to head north in the next 20 mins.
I have one of the Al blocks, or maybe the only one. Still in car (street), 67 CA GS, and had to redo it a few times to get it correct. Titanium intake valves and retainers, Fast EFI, Hyd Roller. Most all TA stuff. Glad to send additional pictures to text or email. Need any dimensions, let me know.
