Buicks to Bend, OR

This is an open invitation to all Buick owners and fans to join the Portland BCA chapter on a run to Central Oregon on May 31 thru June 1.

This is not an organized BCA event- just a group of Buicks going on a run.

We will be leaving Vancouver, WA at 8am on Saturday the 31st of May. We will stop in Oregon City and Stayton to collect other cars and plan to be in Sisters for lunch. After lunch and wandering for a couple of hours we head to Murray & Holt Buick in Bend for a small show at 3pm. After that we will be having dinner and spending the night. We will return to Portland / Vancouver on Sunday via Mt. Hood.

Let me know if you are interested in any or all of the tour. Come and join us as we have fun playing with Buicks.

 

If my 455 is still on the engine stand would I be allowed to tag along in my Z? I'd love to see the drivable buicks.

Do you guys ever get together and go to PIR for the saturday night races? I was talking to 68stick and he was thinking to get with whamo and myself and go. I was thinking if you guys don't race it would still be cool to get together at the track.

 

I havent met many buick guys in the portland area yet. There are a couple that show up at the drag races.

 

So Whamo are you going to make it to bend with the Z

I don't do the Sat. night PIR thing. Can't stay up that late when you're an old fart.

However plenty of Buicks there on Wednesday nights in the summer. Big cruise in with many cars including quite a few Buicks and the drags are going as well. Lots of fun.

Hope you can make Bend - we will be at Murray and Holt Buick from 3 pm until it is over or the wives start to throw a fit.

PS Bring that '69 it's "hot".

Yeah, the 350Z, the 240Z is in a millon pieces and the shell is at the bodyshop. I fly home on thursday and my wife and I were hoping to get away, this may be the perfect opportunity. Lord knows we have gone to enough datsun events....

 

This was me the day before I flew back to work. We drove the 240Z in the garage complete and 3 days later this is what it looked like. My wife is very excited to be getting her car repainted. The before pic of the 240 is in my v8 garage linked below.
