A friend of mine from the New England Buick Racing Association has asked me to post the following about an upcoming Buick Shootout at NED. This is being sponsored by Jerry Lowell from Razorback Racing (www.razorbackracing.com). The event is open to anything Buick powered. $1000 top prize! You can also go to Jerry Lowell's web site that has the information for it: http://www.razorbackracing.com/page4/shootout2008.html Quick details: Razorback Racing's Buick Shootout June 21, 2008 Rain Date - TBA New England Dragway, Epping, NH "All Buick" event...Buick Car or Buick Powered only!! (Any questions, ask ahead of time.) Bracket Racing Format For info and sign up sheets, contact Lorraine Garvey, Event Manager Email: Lorraine @ razorbackracing.com (take out the spaces, which were added to help reduce the amount of spam from the web-crawling programs...) Hope to see everyone there! BTW This is NOT a Buick Day that is run by NED, this is run by Jerry. There will be other cars at the track that day, but our event will be a dedicated portion of the day's program. If you've run at NED on a Saturday, you've probably seen similar events that other clubs do. Includes free food for all participants! -Bob Cunningham
I'd venture a guess 9 AM is a good time to get there. That way you can walk around the pits. Not sure what time time shots are gonna start though.
Its believe its been a very long time since there was a Buick only Event at NED. Hope for good weather and a large turn out. Bret
I went for my FIRST TIME EVER last Sunday and has a great time. I'm not out to win any awards, just want to go fast. There were only four Buicks racing, two with chevy motors... Sean brought out his newly acquired '66 4-speed too. Weather permitting I'll be there!
The last one (I think) was back in 1998 and I have every intention of being there this time. That's the last time I was there, ripping off low 12's with the red Stage car I used to pound on... Man that car ran well! I just realized the car ran it's best time that day....
I'll be there! Just keeping my fingers crossed that my tranny holds together, but I'm anxious to see my ET on my latest changes. -BC
