An official announcement of the Buick Regal's demise is still forthcoming, but according to GM sources production will halt very soon. Sadly I worked for Oldsmobile and Pontiac when they went away!

All SUVs from here on out, don't have to worry about the rumors about them bringing the Grand National, GNX back.

Hate to say this, but even if they did bring the GN back it'd be a badge/trim package only and disappointing guaranteed. Our hopes of a proper iteration compared to the 85-87 GN is a pipe dream.

Yep, I hate to sound like a broken record, but Chevy, Ford and Dodge will each sell you close to 400 hp (or more!) in a rear wheel drive car for around $40k. I’m not paying that, or even 3/4 of that, for wrong wheel drive.

Yup GM thinks it's better to make all SUV and dropping car lines. It's going to bite them in the ass if we have a gas crisis in the future. All the foreign makes will keep building cars with SUV.

As the owner of a now orphaned 2019 Regal TourX, I’m just glad I bought when I did; this car is worth driving the wheels off of it. I believe GM not only shot itself in the foot by killing the Regal, it loaded another round for use at a later time.

If you pay attention many of the foreign lines are doing away with various car lines as well. They are able to keep some sedans as their home markets warrant it, and their home markets are not into suv’s like the American public. I guess if ever needed, Buick has a large lineup of cars in China so could easily convert them to bring into the US market.

Encore, Encore GX, Envision, Envision GX and Enclave, of course the Electric SUV is in the works. So that’s actually a pretty good lineup and one of the fullest in the industry. It is a shame they couldn’t keep the Regal line as they had really excellent press and reliability but with the sale of Opel that writing was on the wall. The TourX was finally getting some traction and was well regarded. The new Envision GX will be slotted above the current Envision and will be totally new. upload_2020-10-27_4-6-31.jpeg

If there is a 2021 Enclave and Envision alphabet soup SUV, the website is certainly lacking....its dang near November.

Isn't Ford doing the same thing? Dropping all cars except the Mustang (GM is keeping the Camaro & Corvette) and only selling SUV's and trucks.

2021 Enclave pricing is due out anytime, the new Envision will not be released until beginning of the year

Cadillac will retain the CT4, CT5, CT6 and the V line for each.
There is also a planned 2023 launch of a 2024 Regal and possibly TourX

Yes, but we have been told GM’s remaining stock of them will be sold through 2021 as 2021’s, not exactly sure how that works though

Their website is unsearchable for CT6. Good luck.

Is the Caddy ATS coupe Opel derived? Or Holden? or neither?
    I like it...RWD.
