Decided to join the 455/th400 party so now I’m looking to part out (I prefer to sell whole) a running Buick 350 I rebuilt two years ago with approx 200 miles. Haven’t taken it out of the car yet just looking to see if anyone’s interested in the coming weeks. Engine is .040 over with silv-o-lite cast pistons, ta intake, new rockers(installed with all R on the right and all L on the left because I didn’t know any better when I assembled it but the engine but it ran fine ), new timing cover, new harmonic balancer,new melling oil pump, arp head bolts,water pump,radiator,fan,shroud,new fuel pump, stock non-stage 1 heads, new rocker shafts, new pushrods, stock crank ground .o10, melling sbc camshaft,new stock oil pan. I also have ta headers, stock manifolds, and th350 available. I prefer pick up but we can discuss shipping as I am new to this in terms of large parts shipping. I just want to recoup some of the funds I dumped into this engine before I reveal to my wife how much the aluminum heads for my 455 are going to cost us I’m in Cleveland OH, 4696586772 call/text Nate Again ,I would rather sell everything and prefer pick up. $2700 obo takes everything listed. Can a guy still hear it run, drive it? How much for the motor without transmission? No carb come with it? Any specs on the motor like clearances, compression ratio, hot idle oil pressure?
Hot idle is around 15psi, cr is probably 8:1 with those pistons and heads plus the block hasn’t been decked .I’m keeping the carb but I have another quadrajet that needs to be rebuilt that I’m willing to part with. Are you wanting a price for everything else minus the transmission or just the long block?
If it is sold, it is a moot point but I was looking for a long block to swap into my 71 GS. I was hoping it had a better cam and higher compression though. Thanks
