Wow, guys congrats...just exactly what i was looking for.:TU: , first off i would love to see the buildup of stroking a 350..about the honda parts, what parts are you talking about, what parts are they exactly...im currently trying to build up my 72 skylark 350 chevy 400 tranny, got the tsi 2400-2800 stall converter, t/a intake, 750 db pumper carb, hooker headers, 2.5 exhaust and flowmaster mufflers..i still need to get a good cam, but with all those great numbers like the 25hp 35hp 45hp and 65hp adders, i cant quite figure out whats best for me, only 20 years old, and would sure like to leave a good impression of my buick with the other chevelle and camaro guys.. have tried the car only once since tranny swap due to a problem with tranny, shifts into gear sometimes, especially when you add more oil...no mean to get off topic just explaining why i have not tried the old beast..thanks guys, threads like these are what keep us buick guys motivated, seems like this will be a long thread, keep up the good work guys, keep those tips coming.:3gears:

Thanks for digging this one up Mart! I seemed to have great success w/a 118° LC (KB) and assuming Jan's memory is correct, 11.60's NA (car was prob. about 3600 lb). I think I got lucky hitting on a good combo. So much ET to be had in the suspension. Look @ what Jason Line does - low/mid 10's IIRC w/a "stocker" 455. I'm sure Dan's suspension in the Apollo is similarly modified.

Dont know how I found that 07 thread.
Andy, thought you didn't like the KB118 low end?
Should be better grinds today I would think.

I thought he had a Poston 118. The KB 118 sure seemed to work well for me.

    alec296 i need another buick

Yea, the 118 poston didn’t come on until around 3000 for me. But being my first build. Something may have been off. But not enough converter. Hyperutectic pistons. From poston. Maybe needed headers?

Guess I need to use my readers more.:D
I saw 118 & figured were same grinds, maybe not huh?
I think most of us have evolved some with these slow 350 mouse motors. :D
The SP3 is a performance intake for sure.
Like hugger said, compression, cam, gear & convertor to get them up on the pipe.:)

Idk what the Poston grind was. I haven't seen a lot evolution it ET's;). I'm willing to try a 200-4R w/4.56's & high stall in my automatic car but still seems to me 350's work better w/a 4-sp. manual (gonna build that car 1st). I checked out Greg's (@knucklebusted) M-23Z in BG and like that. Gotta get my cars done so I can play in the 350 sandbox again:). Might have to put something in a Skylark in the meantime now that I have some lightweight NASCAR t/o rods to play w/ (damn you:)).
