Sprayed 100s of cars with this as gravity feed guns were making there way into the industry, base coat no difference, clear you had a hard time telling the difference between the Sata of the day and the MBC siphon gun. She still sprays awesome! Going to use it to spray the chassis and floor on this ‘68 Camaro.
The nice thing about gravity feed is not having to use part of the air to suck paint up like a siphon gun, it’s a learning curve for sure for is older guys lol
Dad always preferred the siphon guns. He tried a few different HVLP's and never cared for them at all. He ended up giving them to me and that's what I learned/learning on. His old siphon gun is still hanging in his garage, he painted ALOT of cars with that. I remember seeing a cloud of paint all around when he used it, but it layed down the color nice. Ken
Yep, if your an experienced painter, you’ll have a hard time telling the difference between a siphon gun job and a gravity
Funny you mention that, just finished spraying the underside of this Camaro, I’m thinking “WOW, I must have some paint left” I open it up, NOPE, “Damn, forgot how heavy this thing is”
