Yall missed out on a good time. Unfortunately, the Buicks and Olds were few and far between. I think there were two or three GN / T-types running high 13s. There were five Olds and about 40 Ponchos. There were a bunch of really nice GTOs and 1st and 2nd generation Firebirds though. The air was about as good as it could have been at 100ft below the actual sea level there. My car ran a new personal best with a 13.2023 @ 102.44. My 60fts still suck as I am getting tire spin off of the line. I got nocked out second round by a bitchin 2nd gen Firebird with a 10.70 dial in. It was quite a thrill to cross the line within a 10th of him at WOT and probably 600+ hp screaming out his open headers. Pretty cool stuff. A bone stock Cutlass made it to the finals but lost to some stupid new model Pontiac. Ben
Thanks For the update Ben.... Gonna make the upcoming picnic at Bull Creek. You can even take out the windsheild for nostalgia if it makes ya feel better.... :TU:
Yeah, I should be able to make it to the picnic. I have no nostalgia for the lack of a windshield though. Not too much fun to drive that way. That gave me a new appreciation for the motorcyclists that go sans windshield and helmet. Must be some tough dudes.
