Yep, especially on the thrust side. Also, detonation will cause piston wear in all kinds of wierd places. Devon
There was no visual signs of piston wear I measured all the shirts and they were within spec on a 4.350 bore giving a .005 piston to cylinder clearance .I think I know what caused the issue I had a fuel deliver problem and the was breaking up on the top end in good air days do to a low rear float ou: I have driven it a few short rides on the street but don't think i'll get to the track till 7/25 :beers2:
fuel problem caused motor to go lean and detonate which rattled piston and broke cyclinder wall...its pretty common, that is why timing and fuel are so important...
Well finally got to the track motor is greatou: DA 1890ft thought Mufflers it went 10.09 132....:beer
