I am going to be installing a Fitech on a 900+ hp blow through setup soon. This system will use an Aeromotive external regulator. Setup will be as follows.

-8AN feed, -8AN return This part of the system is already there and worked on the carb system so we will stay with it. Ideally would like -10 return according to Aeromotive.
-6AN regulator to the Fitech. Cap off the return (rear passenger side.) Going to put a fuel pressure gauge on one of the front feed ports.
Will use a relay to supply electricity to the pump. Orange wire from Fitech will trigger the relay. Will run 10 gauge wire for supply to pump with 20 amp fuse in front of relay.

Other things. Add an extra ground wire directly to Fitech unit. This system has an MSD 6530 box and will use that to control timing. With an MSD just splice the white wire from the Fitech into the gray tack wire for the MSD. Except for fan control all the wiring from the Fitech will go toward the firewall. This works well with a Buick because it keeps all of the Fitech wiring away from any spark plug wires. There can be a problem with interference caused by plug wires. This is not an unusual problem with EFI.

I got the robbMc pickup with 10AN fuel delivery and 8AN return so it fit directly to the a1000 and also to the external aeromotive bypass regulator and back (8AN).
For the FiTech PWM control of your pump you need a SSR relay! Dont use a regular relay.
Further i wanted to get the info if zhe a1000 accepts PWM control at all... I willcontact aeromotive! Some pumps dont work with PWM and then its a wqste of time...
Regardless you have to control the Fuel pressure with a external regulator before the FiTECH if you use a strong a1000. (regilate it to 60psi)

They don't come much smarter than Steve Morris, if he says it's safe and good, then it's is.

I ahve been talking with Fitech about their new standalone MPFI kit that they are coming out with very soon and it sounds very interesting! We could take a TA intake, convert it for injectors and then run the "go port" kit that will give MPFI without much of the typical EFI challenges. Price should be about the same or less than the power adder 1200.

There is a plan to take a Fitech, supercharged, Tomahawk over to Steve this year for dyno and tune.
