am I the only one thinking that this would be awesome for an 6-71 or 8-71 Blower???

Hey Rob and Bobb; What specific heads will you make these for. Any finished costs prices for either pro charged or single and dual quads. I am sure you have buyers lining up already. Looks Great!

This intake is made for stage 4 heads, but I can make it to fit any head. As far as the cost I am still working on a firm price.

I have an old (early 40s large bore it appears) 6-71 I want to put on a 455, have to get it rebuilt first, doubt I could ever afford this manifold though

Have you considered additive machining for stuff like this? It is possibly cheaper that hogging 95% of the material. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. That thing is scrumptious! My brother used to make billet parts for trucks. Billet is nice.

To mount a big Roots I don't think you'd want it standing on an independent runner manifold like this, unless you're only interested in looks. I'd think the mass of the blower and forces on the nose from the drive would tear up a nice manifold like this in short order. Roots manifolds are beefy and should put the driven cog as close to the crank as possible...that's why the typical manifolds are short and beefy. Plus, runner length doesn't matter in a case like that!

This billet piece is gorgeous and I can't wait so see how it performs. Just the programming by itself must have been a huge feat. KUDOS.

Hadn't really considered that, I know that if I ever get around to doing it I would end up getting my Offy 360 converted to a blower manifold, I know that's what BDS and Hampton use as the base for their 6-71/8-71 setups......but if money was no object I can tell you that his CNC would be cutting out a blower intake for me right now! I just think my 73 Electra would look great with a roots blower on it, as it stands now I'm going to have to settle for dual quads.

Oh, and if I were Rob, I'd have a picture of this intake in my wallet next to the pics of my kids! (probably in front of the kids)

Rob.... BEAUTIFUL work!! How many hours of machine time? Mostly "unattended", or did you need to help chip evacuation? Software? (MasterCam?)

    Top Notch Stuff!!!!!

lots of hours approx 40-45 hrs of machine time and the machine had to be attended to when you are running a 1 pc part for the first time.
    MasterCam X6
The time does not include design and programming.
