Big Chief heads for big block Buick

I got a question.. I had a custom 4x2 billet intake built for my Tomahawk and I had the intake port matched with my ported Stage 4's. Now will your heads have a intake port similar to a stage 4 or stage 2 TE or do I need another custom intake?

 

Depends which heads your talking about, the stageII solid heads or the modified big chiefs? Either way you could modify what you have to work or sell it and have a new one made. Anything made of metal can be weld or machined and made to work.

gonna need a new intake, the big chief heads are over 2 inches taller than any TA head, stage II or IV. I could do a sheet metal or cast single 4 depending what you want to run.

symmetrical heads are also a possibility, if anyone is interested.

 

As a small time nobody who would love to see Buick rise up and compete at the drag level. This is what I see.
We have the Block, step one The Tomahawk. If at the same time the Tom was being developed, someone was developing some major head to go with it, everyone would only be looking for an intake. Waiting sucks. Jim Bell got us going, Mike T is getting us there, Eventually I think TA, Mike will have everything to get there and stay there, but for only one company TA , it takes time. It would be great if another company would be out there developing products, but I don't see one. I don't think Mike hasn't thought of all this, Im betting something has been in the works all along over at TA. Time and money will solve this one. Ounce TA recovers from the making of the TomaHawk. I think we will all know somethings about to come out when we see the TA Wagon doing 6 sec 1/4 mile .

 

FWIW, I seriously doubt you have any business slamming anyone else's work, you don't walk on water, I might suggest tuning down the 'tude and do as JW implied as your best source of conviction, accurate comparison, and honest proof. Bragging that your work is bad ass is pretty childish, in and of itself. Pony up your own cash and prove your own worth, that's what real men do.

I know of your father and your uncle, good people, I probably dealt with Kenne Bell before you were born, so you might be surprised what i've owned, and the roads i've traveled

if your so convinced your Big Chief theory will work, and it may very well be a great race product, and you can market it, and make money at it, then by all means just do it, chest thumping never got anyone to the finish line, or the cash register..

You can save Mike T some energy to concentrate on other more worthwhile, and market justifiable projects

I can appreciate your young enthusiasm, like I said, just tone down the 'tude and just get r done. In my 40+ years playing with Buick's I have found that there's PLENTY of head porters out there that might just surprise you with their knowledge. I've been in the best head grinding and flow bench rooms there are. Pro Stock, Comp Elim, and NASCAR quality. I'd send Chris a set of heads before I ever sent them to you. The quietest and meekest one's, are the best ones.... by far. One of the best i've ever worked with, and still do, doesn't advertise, never has, or troll any forum's,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, time slips and paychecks are his proof.

Yea I do have a bad attitude, wonder why? I come on here trying to do something for the "buick guys" and all you want to do is talk crap, and all the people who are talking are the ones not doing anything for a buick!!!! I never questioned any ones credentials because they never posted them!! It's funny you question me but are afraid to answer your own question.

This project started as a personal favor for a family member and it's going to STAY that way. While you at home waiting I'll be off racing. I'm DONE, unless you know me personally your not getting anything from me. Don't ask.

how about you read before you make a comment. For the 3rd or is it 4th time, I can get castings only when the do a run and thats going to be in the beginning of april, after that theres nothing scheduled for the rest of the year. I posted to let everyone know there was an opportunity, I didnt want to do a set and have other guys want them too then have to say sorry you missed out maybe in 12 months... I apologize for letting everyone know this was an option but good news is it isnt anymore. Im not calling in a personal favor nor am I coming out of pocket thousands of dollars for raw castings if no one is buying them. Its not a deposit, its buying the actual castings to be modified now, not in 2 years. Again this is no long an option you will all have to wait for someone else to do it but after the way you respond to people who can deliver I doubt anyone else steps up.

Buying actual castings that are no good to anyone until the work has been done to them. I remember putting a deposit down on a TA block before they were even cast, but I could clearly SEE what TA was all about, and didnt have an issue with paying up front. I havent seen anything from you other than your slapping gums.
I hope you have great success with these heads, but I think you need to show something first before asking us to invest in raw castings. Get it done, then put it out there, period!
