I would like to know if someone is making clutch pedals, zbar, and etc for a four speed conversion in a 64 skylark. Furthermore, what it takes to go with a 455. I have done the 68 -72's but this is new territory to me. I have a big block bell housing, but what year parts would complete the clutch linkage to a 64 skylark?
    Thanx,

It's been posted that the small-block bellhousing will fit the 455. Gransportsedan posted pics a few years ago.

    Early '64 z-bars were multi-piece units. Late '64 to '66 were one-piece z-bars.
Pedals, 64-66. Even Chevelle repos will work.
'67 parts are different due to the collapsible steering columns. Unsure if they'll work.

  3. i was able to use all the V6 clutch linkage along with a 12" clutch inside a small block bellhousing. using the small block bellhousing with only one starter position on the passenger side made header clearance on drivers side very nice.

Bob, I wasn't able to get t/a full length headers installed in the 65 using the stock z-bar. That's one reason I went to a hydraulic linkage.

    Frank,

What Z bar assy is that? I need the same thing for my 64 to 455 conversion.

    Thanks

    Dennis,

Any movement on your build I'm in the same boat.
