BFG T/A ?

I'm looking to put some new tires on my 72. I see BFG T/A tires on Jeg's and I see Coker BFG T/A tires on there also. Are they the same tire? I thought Coker did a cap on radial tires. Is that true? Confused.

Maybe been in hibernation too long. Thanks,

Best price I found on TA Radials was at Walmart.com. Free shipping pick up in store.

But the Mickey Thompsons from Summit or Jegs. I have used both and MTs are better. Also, many have reported an issue with the white letters of BFGs failing to hold their color.

Coker buys old molds/old designs and makes their tires in the traditional way. Diamondback buys new tires and refaces the side wall. None of the majors sell recaps. But why not buy the original from BFG? The T/A is a great tire for the A bodies, if somewhat dated technology.

Thanks for the info. I plan to buy the originals if I decide on BFG. I like the idea of buying the wheels and tires at the same place, installed free and shipped to my door.

I’m pretty sure that Coker sells brand new BFGs just like everyone else. They did about 15 years ago, then quit and only did vintage repro stuff, but now they appear to be selling new ones again.

Cooper Cobras are a better tire IMO. You can get them anywhere.

Once you use MTs, you will never go back to BFGs.
