Well I tried to respond in a professional manner and we have hundreds of satisfied customers. I did piss off a few people because I don't cater to liars myself. And Paul; You are lying piece of crap and I took pics of the motor before I shipped it and proved to the BBB you where lying. You took another motor to your machinist and he verified it!

If you don't want to do business with us thats fine there are plenty of other vendors but a lot of this is a bunch of bull!

Even you Mark was talking trash about Carmen Faso when you called Me!

You never posted any pics to the Yahoo list or the HAMB of Paul's motor. You are a very bold faced liar. You're getting pretty good at this. It's always the same story over and over and over...

Lackner, you would not know the truth if it slaped you in the face, the machinist took delivery of your balanced and blue printed engine STILL WRAPED IN YOUR SCHRINK WRAP. You have ONE DEEP BAG OF LIES......If it were just me, but not ALL of us !!!!

I'm going to post the problems he had with a HAMB member over here as well

    Jim:
Bought a Model A body from him this year. If it was what he described I would have been stoked, but for the $600 EXTRA he charged me to hang a "perfect" quarter panel on it and a couple of "cherry" doors I got a my original completely rusted out quarter panel with a patch panel (warped welds & all) and a couple extra rusty twisted doors that will join the quarter panel in the scrap pile (when I asked him to include the old panel he said "the scrap man already picked it up"- then it mysteriously was NEVER removed from the body). I've basically kept one quarter panel, the back panel and the sub-rails from this described "PERFECT" body that I spent WAYYY too much money on. Trusted him because he had the "one of us"- "you can trust me" story down pat! The dude that delivered the body was 12-hours late (I waited up ALL NIGHT for him cause I couldn't get his number and he didn't bother to call) & didn't know how to back up a truck & trailer! He was pissed at ME because he got a $1000 for **** flying off the truck on his way down, then charged me $300 (was supposed to be 100) for delivering my body after traveling 40 miles out of his way with a full load he was already delivering.
He's got friends on here- I've told them to say "Hi" for me. Still probably a nice guy, but the whole deal left me pretty bummed and really held up the progress when I was told this body was "ready to bolt on & rust free". I didn't even want to look at it after the truck pulled up- but I felt I wouldn't have gotten anything if I sent it back down the road with the delivery guy. It was already paid for, my mistake- but I really wanted a body.

I must have misunderstood that "THE RUST is FREE".

    Marty:
There are two sides to every story and a provisinal patent was applies for an will be granted. You friend bought a set and copied them. Also we recieved permission for the logo. I would like to see everyone enjoy this hobby of ours and try not to be so critical for reasons unknown. I rarely get on message boards but I would hate to see anyone miss out on the effort we have made to make a quality product for no good reason. It's about the cars!

    Marty:
Hey Jim! First of all I sent you a dozen pics of it and also offered to buy it back when you weren't happy. The shipping was between you and the shipper. I was not a party to it. I stated before and I will again, I will buy the body back from you and I will pick it up in person when we are down there in Oct. I don't understand the complaints on this board when I offered your money back.

    Jim:
I was delivered something much different than described, it was an ordeal to get it. It's not like a T-Shirt you can put in a box and send back. We went over in detail how guys promise something and deliver something totally different. I don't have a problem keeping the body, I just thought if I didn't get the new quarter panel as promised and paid for you would have offered something other than going through the hassel of returning the body. I never said I wanted a patch panel in the old rusted out top-to-bottom quarter panel- you came up with that at the last minute. Thanks Jim
Don't know why I have to feel like the bad guy, I sent the money- didn't get what I was promised.

This is not even counting his bull$h!t threats that he has a provisional patent on intake risers for the Nailhead and threatening someone else on eBay who was sellign them. I checked the US Patent Office and there is no record what so ever of even an application. There is still nothing on the USPO.gov site. Hmmm.. another lie... I think so...

    It hard to be humble

Marty, I came to you because your Web site had interested me, we talked a turn key operation you offerd, with all the goodies, and I almost sent you my motor to build, Thank God I didnt. The only Trash I was talking, was to you!

If you are so right, and I am so wrong, and lying, explain to me and the board here, how I refused the Heads that were so bitchen.(quoted) that never left your shop. I put all my trust in you, and you call me a lier. :puzzled:
Why don't you just swallow your pride and come clean?

    Remember to read this again:

    Dear Mr. Camalieri:

Please accept my apology on behalf of DHL Express for any inconvenience the above referenced shipment has caused.

Per our records we show these shipments were entered in to our system on June 1, 2005. Both shipments were coming from NW Speed Equipment going to Mark Camalieri. I do apologize these shipments were not turned over to DHL Express. The information was entered in to our system but the actual packages were not tendered to DHL Express.

Again, please accept our apologies and trust that all future shipments will meet all your expectations.

And it's times like this I wonder why the board doesn't have some kind of mediators section to settle differences between vendors and the customers that share this board. Personally I think it would be more effective to kick one party off the board or the other, whichever is proven to be the "liar", then to throw words around. Though it would make for such a good soap opera.

In the mean time I'm gonna pull up a seat and enjoy the show, hey someone want to toss me a cold one? :beer

The only thing that I have to add to the conversation is that I ordered a starter from NW Speed, and it fit and worked great. There is a however a but, but it took 3 weeks longer than I was told to ship. I was told that it would ship the day after I ordered it, 2 weeks later I called to check on it, and it "had just returned from the rebuilder". It did ship right away after that, but the fact that I had to call and complain sucks. If it's going to take 2 weeks fine, tell me that. If you tell me it's going to ship the next day and it doesn't call me, you had my number. I'm a pretty understanding guy, but I hate being lied to. I'm going be pretty leary of purchasing from them again. If I do I'm going to get a delivery date, and if it doesn't show up I'm going to call them 3 times a day! Just my 2 cents

ZMAN you are an ass! Post the rest of the story since Jim and I worked together often since then. If you don't like me then don't buy but I will continue to build quality parts for those who appreciate them.

Better than a liar and a cheat. That's all the story that is that thread. You cheated Jim on the HAMB, you threatened the other Jim on the Yahoo list over the intake risers and lied about applying for a patent, you cheated Paul, and now you're here cheating someone else. You've exceeded your three strikes. And it seems that more and more keeps coming out. Face it you're a chump. I will let everyone know that there are better people to deal with any chance I get....

    All right guys, that's enough..

You have made your points and counterpoints. The information is now out there. Regardless of the specifics, there are a few folks not happy who have posted.. and those posts have been responded to.

Anything beyond this, besides a "kiss an makeup post" between these parties is a waste of bandwidth, and I don't allow these flamewars on the board here, beyond what has been already stated.

If folks want to add more comments, pro or con to the situation, that is fine, or if one of the parties cares to explain further, in a professional manner, then that's fine too.

But we are done with the namecalling.

    I live near Marty...

Hey guys, sorry you were "taken" by Marty... (if this be the case) I would just like to say a few positives though.... i live about 10 miles from his business and about 20 from his house. He has let me come over to buy 62 full size A/C stuff, buy switch pitch rebuildable cores and he also sold me header flanges all for the nailhead... i have seen the place he had as his first shop, and it has since been moved out of a little while ago... and now he has a full shop. he bulds customs, and other vehicles, makes his own flexplate assy's for the t-400/700r4... plus he has a nice wife and 1 1/2 kids.... (one on way) He is not a mean guy or a scammer... that i know of... to me he is pretty honest and works like an average business owner. If there wasnt a nyone who liked his business, he would have been out years ago. He is in the development of a BBB blower set-up, roller cam and lifters, and monay other unimaginable parts that we only dream of... All i can say is this... if the parts didnt come, then call his shop, ask for his wife, she answers the phones and she'll tell him at least by dinner time at the latest.... If a shipment was refused by DHL, then maybe try another shipper... request UPS, they ship my rebuilt switch pitch trannies and they dont even ask for a crate! (these weigh 147 lbs!) Maybe insure parts seperatly?? send heads seperatly?? all you have to do is ask.. Plus, I cant see how someone said they got a motor with spare parts and old parts in their motor??? If this be the case, then feel lucky you even got a motor... But i honestly feel that Marty didnt send you a scrap motor.. he has cases of bearings, has all cams made to his specs, buys new pistons... etc.. If I bought a motor from anyone, it wouldnt have an oil pan bolted to the bottom, so I could see the bottom end before it went into my car... anyways, good luck to all, and please, if you cant say nothing nice on this site, then go to FORD.com.. there you can say alot of crap and no one would be offended... ("my ford is a piece of crap", my damn ford parts are crap", "my new cobra is a piece of crap", 'all fords new and old are all crap" and so on, and so on, and so on.... :beer

    Knowing the facts

    Mr62bilck,
Maybe you should reread my posts again, with the letter from DHL. It not shipping company issue, its an Owner issue, stated that said I refused a shipment that was never shipped. If you know him so well, ask him about me, and ask him to show you a refused shipment with a signature by me. I don't think Marty a mean guy either, a scammer, lyer; well I have good reason too.

ok when is the rumble,i want a front row seat!!!

WOW!!! i have never seen this type of confrontation on the board before,i usually dont read the same post for 40 min. if the shop is pulling this type of transaction often, they are not long in buisness, and should be fearfull of this.this board carries a lot of clout in the buick world.i cant believe anyone would write a novel slamming a shop so bad unless it is true,we all have better things to do.so see what i mean?i have a bad opinion of them, not even knowing who they are :Do No:be carefull of what you say,it might come back to bite you on the :moonu:
CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG? :beer

I fear that I am the latest person taken to the cleaners by Marty Lackner. I ordered front spindles from a 59 Buick from him. Paid him by check back in March and no parts as yet, nearly 3 months later.

He initially replied to my Emails with various explanations, but has now stopped replying. I called him and got a very pleasant sounding young lady who said that he will call back. We'll see.

I'm not ready to write this transaction off yet, but I sure don't like the smell of it. The negative reports about Marty are too numerous to dismiss as misunderstandings.

If he comes through with the parts I ordered and paid for, I'll apologize. If he doesn't, however, it is time to take action. The local District Attorney in Portland takes a dim view of unscrupulous people who victimize people who pay him money only to have it end up in his pocket with nothing in return.

  20. If he doesnt respond or come thru then shoot me a P.M and i'll go see him in person:Brow:
