Go visit your local machine shop and tell him to glass bead it for you. It will look like brand new when you get it back. You can either use it as is, or give it coat of clear

I clean them in the solvent tank so there grease free, and then blast them with walnut shells... Looks like new... Hope this helps... Crash
That's what I did too, clean & blast and put a coat of clear and 3 years later still looks like new. Thanks,
