Watch the video - wild! Use an inner tire to hold the bead in place! https://www.hagerty.com/media/maint...-secrets-of-a-3000-horse-buick-station-wagon/
I posted a video about this wagon when it was on Sick Week 2022 In that thread I wondered (because of the name BOOSTMASTER II) if it's really a Roadmaster, because these came with the Vista Roof...... The car in the video has the flat roof. And the grille still says CHEVROLET. Video screenshot:
...yep. Also interesting how he gets those monster slicks installed. Reminded me of my first car, in '59, a left-coast lowered '50 Ford vert that was so low I had to leave gas stations at an angle to keep from pulling exhaust extensions off. I got rear tire on/off by removing brake drum. Deflating tire should've worked, but I was a dumb kid with his first car, bought with summer job money. I learned a lot with that car. Don't kill trans/clutch in a car with OD and x-frame. Don't play radio with ignition off without making sure points are open by reading ammeter. How easy it was to push-start it single-handed with a dead battery, just watch where you park and don't leave it in OD...
Yes I think it’s a Roadmaster look alike. I’m guessing the original car was a Buick Roadmaster hence the theme on this one.
