Have any of you guys ever replaced the springs in your coupes with station wagon springs to gain height? If so what was the result?? I am thinking of doing something similar to my Chevelle BB to raise the height more than standard BB springs.

Simply add coil springs spacers. 1/2 or 1” will make a big difference.

Trying to avoid that at the moment. Company that sold me the new Moog BB springs (Ground Up/ ss396) recommended going to the station wagon springs vs using spacers.

I think you will find the spring rate wrong with the wagon springs. I used rubber 1” spring spacers on my Chevy tracker that I rock crawled, hill climbed, mud pit etc and never an issue. They actually improved the ride slightly.

I put sw springs in the rear of my '66, they were too high. I was able to cut them down since they were the tangential ends. Just had to heat the last coil to make it seat properly. You can't do that with the pigtail ends on the 67-up tho.
Spacers are an easy solution to raise the rear..... or were you talking about the fronts?
