Right, you're just around and past the X-member. I'm using the G-force member (another good suspension tip) in that stead, had planned to go around it. Did you cap the ends of the frame rails as well? I think there was a weld-in product for this a few years back... (apologies for hijacking the thread)
No No, I just welded vertically up the frame rail and the filler plate. I don't see the benefit in a filler plate inside the frame rail if the channel is filled end to end between the front and rear frame boxes. Weekender
boxing plates I capped the ends of the front frame sections just far enough to meet the boxing plates that I welded to the C channel front and rear and ran new fuel and brake lines inside the frame rails before welding them shut. Then use some type of etching primer or anti rust sealant and spray it into the holes on the outer perimeter of the frame. I will try to post pics tonight.

I live in florida so rotted lines arent really a problem plus I undercoated everything inside the rails before sealing them. If one rots I'll just cut the ends off and fill the holes o No: . Plus I feel the safety benefits are worth it. After all, there must be a reason GM did this in the first place.
