Hello guys Greetings from Belgium! New to the forum and after a search of a little more than a decade for the right one I was finally to able to get hold of a 1970 Buick which I shouldn't tell you isn't all that easy in the old continent. I saw the car for sale 3 years ago and missed out on it, but low and behold 2 years later it pops up again, already on its way to Europe and more importantly: for sale. Second time's the charm and happy to say I've had the car for almost a year now. Not to mess around: it's a GS clone, started out as an ordinary Skylark, but it has gotten a nice 455, TH400 and a ridiculous set of gears behind it, together with almost all the right stuff. As I take it it's been a California car for most of its life, so perhaps some of you know more about the car, and I'd love to know if you do! The car was restored in 1999 and was sold around 2019 to its previous owner. Car was born Fire Red with a black vinyl top, so the plan is to keep it that way. Hood tach was added by me since acquiring it. It's an older restoration and it shows in places but it's a blast to drive and gets a lot of attention. Some nice wholesome content as well: when on holiday in the US visiting Huntington Beach in 2017 I stumbled across none other than Mr Sam Davis and his wonderful Buick. Obsessed as I already was back then with these cars I couln't help but snap a picture with him, see the last picture. As I take it he is still active here, so a great shout-out to this man for really stoking up the Buick fire in my blood, thank you sir!
