Bad body mount symptoms

    Gotta wierd noise coming from the drivers front footwell area. I'm pretty sure it's a bad body mount.

    It's kinda like when you have a bad upper control arm bushing but I can definitely feel it in the floor.

    Anyone have a similar issue?

    I'd be surprised on that car esp. since Buick used 2 of 'em up there. Crossmember/insulator? Motor mount? Control arm bushings?

    It's kinda like a knocking noise. James suggested making sure the bolts aren't loose. I'm gonna get under it this week and poke around.

    Had the exact same issue way back when i bought my Skylark. The bracket thats welded to the firewall that braces those mounts was broken on the right side. One shitty spot weld that led to a crack. Every bump felt like a small hammer on the floor. I couldn't see it because of the AC box..
