I have a 72 skylark. I currently have 2 speakers undermounted in the package tray and will likely be adding kick panels in the future up front. I have an aftermarket head unit and running a small amp to the rear speakers, which is under the passenger side of the bench seat. This was a quick install to see how things would sound. I do plan on putting a subwoofer in as well, not to be heard from a mile away, but just to give a little punch to the sound.

I am looking for a couple things.

    1. can anyone show me pictures of where they may have mounted/installed their amps?
    2. Does anyone have pictures of their sub install? I am thinking the trunk is the only place I can do it, but would like to see some clean installs. I have amps and some 10" woofers sitting in the garage, so that is what I will be using.

    Thanks in advance.

I put mine in the trunk just below the package tray, spare tire and jack accessible plus trunk space. If you’re going to box in your trunk a panel would easily cover the amp. I didn’t install subs just an amp for better sounding music which is loud enough

I built enclosures to put the subs on the sides and the amps under the package tray. However, if I ever get a flat tire it's going to mean a call to roadside assistance...

I have also mounted an amp on the underside of the package tray area from inside the trunk. It’s hidden from view, even with the trunk open
