Trying to get a tally on what events (other than our Texas Buick Bash and Noble) that all the Texas people are planning to attend this year.

Where are all of you guys going this year? :Do No:

I'll be driving to BG. Slim possibility I may go to Salem too, but would most likely fly if I do. One cross country drive a year is enough.

Noble, Kearney or Mid west, and possibly salem (BPG Nats). :TU:

I'm driving to BG and Salem. Can't fly because of the dog (and my fear of flying).

I should have an empty seat in the car, so whoever pipes up first to let me know they are going can ride with me if you like (and if you dare).

I do owe David N. for the ride he gave me to Noble, so I'm going to offer him first, otherwise, let me know if you guys need a ride to either of these events!

I might take you up on the ride to Salem.
By the way, I've got your CD made, just need to get my lazy butt to the PO and get it mailed.

I was going to ask you about the CD, but didn't want to bother you.

I pulled the tank, checked it out (nice and clean), removed the sock, and put it all back together this weekend. Going for the distributor next!

I prefer not to drive all the way to Salem alone, so just let me know. Did you drive or fly to Salem in '04?

Sorry, but just the Bash for me. Love to go to the BPG Nat's, but I'm committed to a trip to Alaska (oh, woe is me!)

Flew in '04. Glad you did all that work on the tank for nuthin' :blast:
Wish I were closer and could go to the track with you for a day, bring lots of parts, and get that thing sorted out.

It might not have been for nothing. It hasn't been to the track yet. Positive thinking says removing the sock will have fixed the problem. At the least, I built up some muscle taking the tank out with all that gas in it since I couldn't find something to siphon it with.

Wish there was a 1/4 mile track close. Closest is at least 60 miles away. The 1/8 mile track is right up the road, but it doesn't die on the 1/8 track.

I did mention that I'm not taking the GS to BG and Salem. I'm taking my new econo-box. 30 mpg + on the highway. :eek2: Lots better than 10 mpg - on the highway!

Your wife isn't going to take my head off if you ride with me, will she?

We'll get together about particulars before the time gets here. I'm planning on giving myself enough time to drive the 20 hour trip without killing myself.

If you don't plan to go now, you probably won't go. So plan now so you will HAVE to go. It's closer than Temple!!! :beer

I think I'm going to take the GS to Noble this year, as long as it doesn't have it's "little problem". :moonu: I only have a few more things to try before it SHOULD be fixed. It wasn't a bad drive to Noble and is more scenic than going to central Texas.

You've got a cool wife. You ought to bring her out to some of the Buick events! :beer :beer

Yeah, yeah, yeah....I know, I know...what's the Noble date?

btw, Noble is closer to you than Temple, but it's another hour away from Abilene vs. Temple...not that a measly little old hour matters to us West Texans - heck, that's just getting started! :Brow:

Late October sometime. I'll find out and shoot you an e-mail when I can find the date.

Sorry, I thought OK was closer to you West Texans. I keep thinking you are in the panhandle. :Dou:
