Ya, something going on with those pumps.. I put them on several low to mid 500 HP builds here in the past, and had feedback from several guys that they were having fuel delivery issues, 2 of the 3 sent the pump back and had it converted to the higher HP model.. the third guy is still working on it, last I heard.

Hmmmm interesting as I have the same pump on my 350, I’m not near 500 hp tho but the fuel pressure does drop during a runo_O

I run an EGT gauge with MAX memory function. Lets you know if leaning out on top end. When I am lean I can see as high as 1475deg, rich as low as 1300 thru the traps.

He needs a fuel pressure gauge first.. trying to tune with a wideband if you don't have adequate fuel delivery is tremendously frustrating.

Yes a wideband will help him tune down the road, but I think he's in the ballpark now, until it starts running out of fuel, which limits his performance potential, while risking engine damage. He's 7-8 MPH off of where he should be with that combo.

The most obvious cause for that is not keeping the bowls full downtrack.

That one is electric that why its expensive.
Mechanical is like $80 external mount. If you wanna put in the car a pressure isolater is required about $125.
    Fuel in &antifreeze to gauge.
If you FB Marketplace theres always all kinda gauges on there.

You don't mount it....you put it on the cowl and zip tie it in place then take it off first street driving

I know it is. When I bought it, it was 100.00 cheaper. Just the sender alone is 100.00. It's expensive because it is electric. You don't want to bring fuel into the passenger compartment, it's dangerous.
That's why you need an isolator for a gauge inside, or keep it outside on the cowl as Ethan suggested. BTW, the isolators are well over 100.00 alone,

This is an expensive hobby Jeremy.:)

That sounds like the best option. Is track tech OK with that? The zip tie I mean.

I find it interesting that most of us will bring oil into the passenger compartment but frown on gas. I do like the isolator setup, I didn’t know that was an option. With what and how do you fill the line from the isolator to the gauge?
