    The following is a VIN I got sent via text to verify what the car is. VIN 4D37H2H108107. I think there is a typo there and it should read as follows;
    4D37K2H108107. I simply don't see a H engine code listed anywhere and since the hood is not easily opened presently I was wondering what might/ should be under the hood. Thanks for the help.

    Thanks for the help. I knew that there would be a reasonable explaination. Now the question is what difference does it make. Given that it IS NOT a 455 or Stage 1 car. Does it being a Sun Coupe add any value to the car?

    Yes the suncoupes are more valuable than a base skylark

    Hi Erik,

    'H' is correct. According to Rob above, and Musclecar Club, engine codes in 1972 are...

    H = 350-2bbl V8
    J = 350-4bbl V8
    K = 350-4bbl V8 (GS)
    U = 455-4bbl V8 (GS455)
    V = 455-4bbl V8 (Stage 1)
