the sticky threads stayed ... but they don't display anything! even when you click on a specific page! and what happened to all the old 'boat' posts? that look at 'new posts' deal at the top of the page shows new posts from the ENTIRE board, sorted by last post date. that's not doing anything for us here in the 'boat' forum. didn't we rate a backup the last time the server was serviced?
Yeah, it really sucks...I guess all the old are gone. Hopefully they'll get them back up, cos there was a whole load of useful info in them. If not, damn that really sucks.
Was anybody obsessive enough to have saved one if the sticky threads to your own computer? I'll look on mine this afternoon...
Not sure I quite undrestood, but if you look at the bottom of the "boatload of fun" forum, you'll see that you can select a drop down menu that allows you to see all posts from the beginning. I think they're all there. Serge.
All posts are here.. all 22 pages of them.. just select "beggining" down on the bottom of the thread, where it asks how old a posts you want to view.
Hi Jim, I'm trying to view older posts and it doesn't seem to work. All I see is a quick reply box. Am I doing something wrong? Also, are the posts from March to August gone? Thanks!
I see the same as Phil. Both stickies are empty, and all threads since March are gone. The information in the 9 3/8" sticky was priceless. I sure hope someone maybe did save it to their computer.
Seeing the same as Marco/Phil - The 9 3/8 sticky is there but all pages are empty, and no posts between march and a couple of days ago... I set the dropdown to "From the beginning" as well...
here's what i see when i open the sticky threads: there is a 'post reply' button at the top AND the bottom of the posts when you open a thread. when i open a sticky thread the 'post reply' buttons are directly next to each other ... there is NO room for any posts to be displayed between them. i get this whether i open the thread title or click directly to one of the specific thread pages. if some people can see all of the posts in those threads then it might be a problem with IE cookies (i'm using internet explorer) or there might be something stupid set in the user control panel. i will say, it really p****s me off to open a thread and have the newest post be at the top. how do you change that? i've tried setting that in the CP and it's not doing anything for me. edit - never mind about post order, just tried it again and the cp change finally took.
just set the board to display the last years posts ... looks like a huge hole between the end of march ( 3 / 29 ) and the beginning of september ( 9 / 11 ). :ball: i guess we didn't rate a backup. :ball: :ball: :ball:
Dang! All of the stuff I've saved off the board, and nothing from this forum... I can see the thread titles, number of replies, etc, all the way back to the beginning, but the only threads with anythink actually in them are the completely new ones since the board was hacked. Seriously, any word on who was responsible? Hangin's too good... :spank:
