The latest wheel covered. It started as a red sport wheel.

Greg I really like the stitching on the first wheel you did. To me it looks more professional. Are you still doing wheels with that stitch? Also what I the current turn around and total with shipping. I have a 13 and 15 inch wheels. One sent at a time. Thanks Frank

The very first wheel I did was with the less expensive cover that has the exposed seam at the bottom (or at least that is where I thought the seam should go) and it isn't doubled over material at the stitching edge.

I can and would do another one of those if you prefer it. I have the original one I did on my 350 car and I have no problem with it. A buddy has one on his car as well. That was the blue-green wheel with the big chunk missing.

Turn around right now is about 10 days, give or take how weekends/holidays fall. Three of days are waiting on covers from California. Right now I'm on the second of three that wound up at my door in pretty quick succession. They are the first ones I've done this year.

The first cover is lower cost so I can do one, return shipping to you for about $105. Shipping has gone up some, as have most other things. The WheelSkins covered and return shipping is $140.

PM me if you want to move forward and I'll give you my mailing address.

Just did this on the wildcat. Changed the int from black to red. May never find a red steering wheel. Used some of the left over leather from the seats and stitched it over the cheap plastic parts store wheel cover. Not quite finished in this pic. My fingers were really sore after 2 hours of pushing the needle through that leather.

I don't see a picture here. I can give you some padding if you want to try something a little more uniform or tell you what I use if you want to buy some.

    Greg,
what are your thoughts on wrapping a rim blow wheel. You think it would keep the horn contacts touching with a tight leather wrap over the existing plastic & rubber components?
There isn't much of a "touch" required to make contact and blow the horn.

I really couldn't say, having not seen one in years. My best guess is the seam would be right on top of it and it would be a problem.

However, if it were wrapped so that the padding did not cover the rim blow area, it would hold the leather cover off the rim blow section. I don't know if it would work as desired afterward though.

I feel I'd have to wire up a test light to the wheel while wrapping it to be sure I didn't lace it too tightly. LOL

I did this one for myself. The red stitching grows on me.

The very first one I did with the cheaper cover, I've removed and am going to try to re-do it with a baseball stitch to see how it turns out.

I finally got the first one unstitched and I've just been staring at it. After viewing the GSX wheel thread, I decided to try something different.

What do you think about this? You can't hurt my feelings. I'm not sure I like it enough to finish it. It is red to make the detail more visible.
