    John,
Love the Dragster and like your setup.
I am helping a friend set this up for his '70 GS. I am doing the machine work. He will be running alcohol.
I am located an hour north of Bowling Green, Ky.
The Hilborn unit started life on a BBC. I have it installed on his Stage 4 heads. The ports matched up really nice with the Stage 4 heads.

I would if I had all the pieces.
I looked into having Hilborn make an intake, then running it with my FAST XFI system.

Never had Hilborne on a Buick but both my sprint cars do (SBC). It's good for one thing WOT. In dirt track racing some guys preferred carbs because they were more controllable in partial throttle in the turns. If you do nothing but drag racing I guess that wont be an issue. If you are planning to run it on the street good luck.

His setup is for drag racing.

Way back....many years ago, I ran the fuel injection department for EVM Fuel Injections. Years later the fuel injection division of EVM was sold, lock stock and barrel to "Ron's Racing" in Tucson, AZ. (still going strong with the "flying toilet").
Back then we played around with mechanical FI on the street and we could get them to run pretty decent on alcohol, but never very good on gas. We could never find the right balance between the jet sizes, pill sizes, fuel pressure and barrel valve adjustments. Every time we thought we had it, the next time we ran it we would need to start over again! Very frustrating! Alcohol was much easier once we learned the tricks.
Stick with alcohol or E85 and you'll be good! Sounds like a fun project! Converting it to electronic FI would still be killer though!

I agree Steve, converting it to electronic FI would be the way to go. For it to be a killer setup, it should be going in the Studebaker.
