The hardest race. I used to watch it when you could get some high lights on satellite TV. The big trucks are pretty flippin' amazing.
I used to watch the original race in the late 70's from Paris, France to Dakar in Africa. Later on they used places like Gibraltar (UK/Spain) and Lisbon, Portugal to start the race. In 2009 they moved the event to South America and since 2020 it's based in Saudi-Arabia. I liked it when Jan de Rooy was competing in the race with his twin-cab truck and later on in The Bull:
I have tried to watch it, but the TV coverage here in SW Florida is so disjointed that it is impossible to follow, so I have decided that it isn't worth the effort.
John, remind in December of this thread and I will help you out so you can watch the 2022 race live on your computer or Smart TV. (for free)
