All I can say about my Wildcat is the built date, "06A" is 3 weeks before my parents got married. Since I bought it out of New Bedford, and it had sat for some time, I believe it's been here locally all it's life. After my parents got married, my father was looking at a new car. It was either a New Wildcat or a Dodge. He tells me that he shied from the Cat because GM went on strike and bought the Dodge. It was a total POS. Traded it in for a '62 Lincoln, and eventually bought a '63 Cat convertible (the car I came home in).
Can't help but wonder if I bought the car he walked away from in '65

late August 1984 I started dateing a woman who had two kids. some time in October she says how would like to meet my folks dad is a lot like you. So I agree to meet them on a sunday when she went to get her kids where her x would drop them. I liked them both and her dad was really a lot like me. Likes nice guns, old tractors and took very good care of his cars him self.

Her mom's birthday was in December on the 20th. For her birthday on December 18th 1984 they went to Bellford Buick in Davison Michigan and ordered mom a new 1985 Buick Lesabre Limited CE. two tone silver and gray with blue Velour cloth seats.
Both Mom and Dad worked for AC in Flint Mi Dort Hyway and Davison road.

The car was built in Kanasa City Kanasa I believe the Fairfax plant. Was delivered to Bellford Buick on Febuary 1st. taken to a Rusty Jones to be rust proofed, Sales guy was not happy with the job they did so sent it back. Mom was finally able to take delivery the afternoon Febuary 2nd . I saw it the following Sunday afternoon Febuary 3d.

For some reason I had instant love of the car and not because of the new smell as I had owned many new cars and trucks by then.
I finally got married to Karen the daughter Febuary 14th 1985. Today I tell people it is so I could keep track of the car so when they ever had a hankering to get rid of it I would buy it.

Some time in 1990 the car rolled up 50,000 miles and mom being rhe type of person growing up poor had made her she worried the car being that many years old and having all those miles would break down. Dad had retired so told Mom the 1998 Park Avenue they had bought a few months before could be her car and he would drive the LaSabre.

Dad passed away from cancer in Nov 2009 the Lesabe sat in the garage with the battery unhooked about every other month Mom would tell me to start the car and run it about 10 to 15 miles. come back and unhook the battery.
I started asking mom to sell me the car it just sat most of the time and she paid insurance full coverage just in case and plated it every year.

Along about 2013 I sort of gave up asking to buy the car just drove it when she asked me to.
Her oldest daughter a bitchy old maid moved in and need a place to store all her crap so mom asked me to park both cars out side.
Dad would have had a royal fit over that and made her rent a storage unit, but mom was easy.

Finally in August Mom said she would sell me the car. I jacked it up and pulled the oil plug and drained oil so clean it was as if dad had just changed it, but I knew it had sat with out being started driven for 4 years. Once I had new oil in it I had also put a new battery in it, I started the Oldsmobile 307 V8 up.
Had no current plate so I drove it a few hundred feet to the Kof C hall parking lot and drove it around for 10 miles.

The paint was GAWD AWFUL from setting out side and I had given up hope of buying it so had quit washing it and applying wax.
We still took it to shows all of 2017. Was at a Friday night cruise in Davison Mi and had gotten there late so was parked in th reback with over flow others who were late Like me. This tall fellow came down there looking at the cars and stopped at the Lasabre and said is this Leroys car. Yes it was Leroys but we bought it form his wife. He says I am Al Miller and I am the salesman that sold cars to Leroy and Opel.
Then asked did we have the collectors gold keys, the leather folder with the owners manual and more. He finally says he is going to make up a packet for us with pictures of mom and dad taking delivery of different cars they bought from him.

About 6 months later he called and said he had the packet made up and was going to drop it at the floks home wher ethe bitchy sister still lived even though mom had passed in March.
Folder was full of things pictures of the folks and him with the 92 Park, the 98Park and the 2004 Park. But no picture of them and the Lesabre. the Dealer ship had been sold to Waldron who sold the prop[erty and moved to a building south end of town. Belford was torn down and a strip mall built there. we have a airiel Picture of the dealship, a licence plate LaSabre, and one of Bellford Buick and a lot of other things includeing four new gold key blanks.

Sept 2017 Sandusky Mi car show our first award with the GAWD AWFUL paint and the engine had over heated and blew coolant all over the engine compatment. But was the most orginal 1885 or older car at the show.
