there is a guy here in omaha that specializes in swapping clips mainly on elcaminos but will do all g bodys. his last one that i saw was a grand camino, yes you guessed it, complete 1987 grand national drivetrain and frount clip doors and rear fender flairs, seats, dash, the whole works. this guy works with all of these companys that i guess produce kits to do this. my buddy bought a project camino from this guy and he showed us everything he has done and was amazed. the best, surprising in my opinion, was a lumina front clip on a elky, wow! this guy is cool as hell, i thought about putting a 87 cutty euro clip on my regal but relized the fender flairs dont match at all, but this guy is insane, i love it! he sells all of these and they are show quility so i bet some of you guys talking about seeing them probably have seen his work. the kit for the lumina complete was only like 1200 bucks, thats cheap to have the only car like it in your town. i have not been down there in 6 months, now that i have my mind on it im gonna have to drop in again. i think his shop was called motorpool car sales?? cant remember for sure. good luck!

I've always wanted to put a 78 Monte font clip and doors on a 78 Lemans body, with a Buick motor of course!!! Some people don't like mixed up cars but I think they can be cool. Great thread!!

i did build a regal elcamino out of a totaled t-type and an elcamino

it should bolt on but the door cutout profile would be the trick, me tinks their different

My idea for a cool A body would be to take the basic 78-81 Malibu coupe body and change over the front clip, doors, 1/4 panels and trunk lid to the 78-81 Century style. It would look like a bit like the 77-79 LeSabre coupe, only smaller. Has anyone ever done this?

The door won't line up. the fender adn door lines match up wierd and the car just looks wrong...

Not only do you have the wheel standing the baddest 455 Regal, but you own a Regalcamino! Did you build that thing! That's crazy!

Yea, I guess I "built it" really quite rough, believe me when I say thats the good view, but....has been my daily beater for over 4 years now, has a Buick 350 out of an old '70 skylark conv. that I parted out a while ago. Never lets me down and carries most of the crap that I need to haul. Someday maybe I'll get around to body & paint, but I have to many projects in line in front of it.

lol...that's were I linked the pic from!!! I like the FWD Buick clip on the Elky but it's prolly more fabrication that I can handle. Wouldn't that justify why I put a Buick 455 in my Chebby!!!
