Sorry none of these are Buicks .. But there was no Buicks holding National Records listed in National Dragster.. My 68 Firebird ran in Super Stock 30 years ago (SS/FA) 400 cid and ran 11.60's with a Quadrajet.. (back then that was competitive)
Greg Gessler is in the 10's with his GS, q-jet, exhaust manifolds and all, on skinny bias ply tires to boot. Of course, all the tech involved in that combo is his and not privy to us! Devon
We ran 12's with a Q-jet I built on or 464. Engine dyno'd at 530 hp with the Qjet. We went to a 950 and about to go to 1050 so this Qjet is on the shelf now.

Nope, our regal just has a 6cyl. But our skylark was 4200# and running 12's with a Qjet, and street driven every day. Regal has a nice weight advantage.

I ran 12.16 with a 8.43:1 CR 430, B4B w/Quadrajet. Turbo 400/ 3500 stall ATI and 3.73 12 bolt. Car is 4036 lbs. Alway ran 12.20's-30's.
Based on my 1/8th mile times..its estimated my 3,600 Lbs 82 Regal should run high 13's. Thats with a stone stock internals and heads, of my "71" 455, It does have 1 7/8" primary tube headers with 3" collectors, and a Eldelbrock intake, and Q-jet. 200R-4 trans,3.42 gears, and 275/60/15 Radials on the rear. I also am hoping to see if mine can get into the 12's, with the Q-jet, mainly because of my gas milelage, been getting 19-20 mpg on the highway, at around 70 mph.
