Rumor is this went off over the weekend. The mom was out of town, but the dad and the boy got to go. Waiting on a report later today and hopefully some pictures as well. I can't thank you guys enough with the short tie left making memories is all that is really important at this time as unfortunately the end is inevitable as the survival rate is very small.

I met Josh & his dad, Matt at the Car Show Saturday. Got him into a T/A Dragster, right after they got there, and later in an M-20 Personnel carrier, then into a Top Concours Shelby GT500 Convertible. Josh was choosing all the cars & Motorcycles he wanted as we went through the show.
When it came time for the Awards, I really thought He was the Hit of the program, congratulating All the winners.
One Gentleman, was wearing a "Batman" T-shirt, and helped him in & out of the M-20. (Josh was scared of heights & it required a ladder to get in & out of it.) Josh was yelling "Hey Batman" when he picked up his award, and everyone was laughing. He congratulated Everyone, and I think He enjoyed that the most.
I didn't know the full story, until the night before, when I spoke to Matt on the phone. Josh is a special needs Young Man, who was injured, and had a Brain Aneurysm, which is how they found the Cancer. He is going through Radiation @ M.D. Anderson, here in Houston & Chemo.
I entered the GS under his name, didn't trophy, but he did get the Goody Bag, Show T-Shirt & a couple of Ball Caps from some of the Sponsors.
He & I left for dinner in the GS, and he got a kick when I jumped on it slightly leaving, with Matt following in their car. We then went to Quaker Steak & Lube, where he devoured dinner, and I think enjoyed the 10+ Big Screen TVs with the College Football games, more than the cars & Cycles on display, from the ceilings & on the Back Yard Buddies, in the restaurant. (Josh is a Big Fan of the Arizona Diamondbacks & Cardinals, Hates the Broncos & Houston Teams)
I went to a cruise night later, & there were Numerous people asking "Where's You Side Kick?" There were people offering to give him rides in various cars, but after a Long day & about a 1.5 hour ride to get back "home", they left after dinner.
I Hope he had a Good day, They both said they did, but I Really think I came out the Best, having met Josh, & Matt. He is a Great Kid!!
IF You read this, I have 1 Favor. Please Keep Josh Weaver & His Family in Your Prayers. They have been dealt a hand that Nobody deserves.

There is no thank you big enough for this. I am getting sporadic reports from both Josh and Mel about the weekend. There has been a lot going on for the family, and while everyone is trying to do something financially I realized that the most important thing is the memories, and I wanted them to have something special. I think that you gave a them something that will always be there for Matt, and something that Josh can hold onto as well. I have heard about the "tank" repeatedly.

I am sure that the family will appreciate the prayers. Once again JR thanks to you and all those who helped make that an awesome weekend for an amazing young man.

Sorry all, but with heavy heart, and wet eye that i have to give an update to this thread. After fighting long after every doctor thought he should Josh finally lost his fight. He passed on 2-9 @ 11:50 in the company of his family. It had been a long road for him, but thanks to many friends he was able to make the last few months amazing by getting the opportunity to meet many of his sports heros, and spending a great amount fo time with his family.

there are no words to use to tell the passing of a child, but the phrase that always comes to mind with Josh is that he "had the purest heart". He didn't care if you were the trashman or a famous athlete, if he liked you he was your firend. I need to thank JR and all the people who gave him the car opportunity in Texas. God Speed Josh.
