I need to save up for medical needs but wanted to put this wanted ad out for this years GS Nats in the event I could do some bartering and needlessly say dodge $hipping costs. My car as many of you know is a very rough GSX clone and it will stay that way as long as I am around to own & drive it. Everything about my car is rough so I am looking for these last few parts that are too cost prohibitive to restore for a show car but too cool to throw away condition. I have had a LOT of much appreciated help from many great members (several sadly no longer with us) and I have worked so hard to get correct 70 only parts I don’t want to surrender now when this close. I am very OCD so while I have a front grill emblem the “G” is broken off so would like a rough,been through the wringer complete grill emblem (nothing fancy or won’t “flow” with my scruffy car). ANY original 1970 only front air damn even if shattered,bent,twisted,sections missing etc etc. This is not for function but for an original ragged out,unrestored & abused GSX look and I will literally run random pieces of a destroyed one JUST because it is a 1970 (yes, I know I am an odd bird,just trying to build what I would have bought had I ever had the means even if it’s a junker). Last item is a rear spoiler (also in any condition,delaminated,faded,cracked,chipped, you get the idea. The 70 rear spoiler has one small vent hole on the underside of the spoiler about in line with the trunk lock cylinder and the pedestals that bolt to the trunk are 4 1/4” from tip to tip (later years are 4 3/4”) to fit my 70 GSX trunklid. I’d also like a couple more rough “WG” coded 15x7’s in case any of mine are not safe to use. Pretty sure I have every other worn out 70 GSX part but if you think I forgot something that you have please PM me. If I don’t find these I can use my 71/72 back ups but as hard as I have tried to have this correct for a (yes rough) but “correct” outfitted “GSX” as kind of a rolling library for reference on non repop,original 70 GSX parts my OCD is screaming for me to not give up at the end when so close. I have many parts to barter & I am running ads to sell parts so not asking for charity. Thank you in advance for your help as well of those of you who already have. In the end it might look like junk but I am determined to at a minimum have the closest thing to a 70 GSX someone like me can pull off P.S. Quick way to id a “WG” wheel is attached picture. A quarter will easily rest on the pictured shoulder. P.S.S. Pictured spoiler is incorrect for the 70 GSX decklid yet to be installed. Underside 70 mounting brackets would be excellent also!
Mold,rust,dust,musk,chips,dips, you name it I will use it. The uglier the better as long as it is 70 GM! More concerned with the front air dam & correct rear spoiler the emblems are much easier to find and ship. Hopefully someone can get the other two parts to the Nationals so don’t have shipping
Sold some parts to afford this stuff. Anyone have a one vent hole on bottom of spoiler in front of trunk lid lock with 4 1/4” pedestal length & going to BG Nats? Looking for something rough but usable. Thanks
