This guy re-lines aluminum drums. He did my fronts. He has a stock of and sells originals that are re-lined. He is costly, but his work is great. He also re-lines shoes and arcs them for your drum.

I will try him. The rear that it is for is worth it.

Cardone recently discontinued them. I can place an order and see what happens. Trying to determine what the difference is between the 2C18000 and the 2C18001.

Ok. One has a 2.78” center hole and the other has a 2.875” center hole for the 12-bolt Chevy hub.

Gbodyparts.com may have some in stock,...I know Brian will have some originals but they only do internet orders and are a real joke when it comes to customer relations so beware

Interesting - I didn't realize they were different. Many years I had a set of aluminum drums I was going to use (I assume feom a G-Body) and my GS had a 12 bolt. Maybe that's why they didn't work. Not sure what I did w/them. Oddly I sold a 12 bolt not long ago & out some drums on it that I pulled from a 8.2.

    I'd like to find a pair or 2 of aluminum that'd work on a 8.2 &/or 8.5 though.

I was young & thrashing to get the car done for the Nationals & probably either didn't think/know to or didn't have time. Should've hung onto the dtums though!

I scored a pair from a dumpster of a repair place right next to motel on way back from BG years ago. My buddies thought I was crazy (prob true) but even then I knew they were rare .....they just needed to be turned.

A year ago I was tripping over multiple pairs. Now they are extinct. New ones are still listed from Cardone, but they have been discontinued.

There were two different part numbers from Cardone. The difference was the center hole diameter. The Chevys had a slightly larger hole.

I just ran across a pair while loading one of my trailers for "the big move" to our new home/shop. These are from a G-body. If anyone is interested, please email me direct: drolds1@bellsouth.net. Thanks, Bob.
